I was born and grew up in Stade, a little town nearby Hamburg in Germany.

As a young boy already, I got fascinated by the sounds of percussion instruments as well as by different styles of world music, especially African, Brazilian, and Cuban music.

In struggling between becoming an engineer or a musician I decided to make my passion my profession and left Germany to study Latin-American percussion at CodArts conservatorium in Rotterdam. During my studies in The Netherlands, Cuba, Brazil and Senegal I got the possibility to meet great masters and musicians who inspired me in developing skills in performing as well in composing and arranging arts.

Traveling and performing here in Europe and over the world made it possible to get in contact with lovely people, various cultures and colorful traditions which formed me in the way I am.

Beside performing as percussionist in different bandprojects, composing and arranging for my band projects and my work as a teacher and bandcoach I recently found my way back to my German roots. I write and sing German Songs and accompany myself on my guitar. 

All wonderful things in life I might experience helped me creating my worldmusic which I am very grateful for.
